Mentorship

A clear path to your next level.

Weekly 1:1s, honest code review, and a real plan — not just office hours. For engineers who want someone invested in their growth, not a subscription to a video course.

Who this is for

Three starting points, one honest process.

Junior & early-career engineers

You can write code, but you're not sure it's good code. You need real code review, not another tutorial.

Career switchers & self-taught

You came from a bootcamp, another career, or taught yourself. You need structured fundamentals, and the confidence that comes from someone actually checking your work.

Mid-level engineers leveling up

You ship features fine, but system design and leadership feel like a different job. You need someone who's done it to show you the way.

How it works

One path, four stages.

You start where you actually are, and move on when the work shows you are ready — not when a calendar says so.

  1. 01

    Solid fundamentals, real code

    Foundations

We start wherever you actually are, not where a curriculum assumes you are. Deliberate practice on the fundamentals actually holding you back, reviewed against real-world code instead of toy exercises.

  2. 02

    Honest, weekly feedback

    Code Reviews

Every week you bring real code, from your job, a side project, or an assigned exercise, and get direct, specific feedback: the same rigor a senior engineer would apply on your team.

  3. 03

    Thinking in whole systems

    System Design

Once the fundamentals are solid, we zoom out: how services talk to each other, where data lives, what breaks at scale, and how to reason about trade-offs out loud.

  4. 04

    Ready to mentor others

    Leadership

The final stage is teaching it back: reviewing someone else's code, explaining a decision in a design doc, or leading a small project. If you can teach it, you've actually learned it.

What you get

Not just office hours.

A standing session, feedback between sessions, a plan that moves with you, and a way to reach out when something can't wait.

  • Weekly 1:1 video call

A standing session, every week, focused entirely on you, not a generic curriculum.

  • Async code review

Push code between sessions and get direct written feedback before we even talk.

  • A living growth plan

A real roadmap for where you're headed, updated as you actually progress, not a static checklist.

  • Direct access when you're stuck

A message away between sessions for the moments that can't wait a week.

From mentees

Real progress, in their words.

The most direct, useful mentorship I've had. Real code review, not just pep talks.

Went from afraid to touch the codebase to shipping features solo in a few months.

I finally think in systems instead of just files. That shift alone was worth it.
